Donated books arrive at Barbo Elementary School
It took almost four months for the donated books to arrive at Barbo Elementary School but they have finally arrived! The books were taken by sea cargo and despite the long journey all books arrived safely. 500 books shipped to Barbo Elementary School
We are delighted to have got this project off the ground and shipped around 500 books to Barbo Elementary School. Thank you to Ms Martin at Forge Valley School, Sheffield, Ms Food at St Theresa's School, Sheffield and Ms Parkinson at Mexborough St John's School. First Meeting
We visited Barbo Elementary School in October 2017 and this was our first visit to the school. Barbo is one of the barangays, meaning villages between Sulangan and Guiuan. We met with three teachers at the school, grade 4 teacher Mr Lito Hombriea, the Kindergarten teacher Ms Marbella Loyola and grade 5 teacher Ms Marina Napoyo. After speaking with all three teachers they informed us that what they were in need of the most is school books ages 5 to 6, Kindergarten materials and books for ages 10 to 11.
